Trust and safety

What Klass checks, and how payments and your information are protected, in plain words.

What does the “Verified” badge mean?

VerifiedTeachers, studios and centers send their documents to Klass. When a Klass team member checks and approves them, the “Verified” badge appears next to the listing.

What is checked

  • Individuals (teachers, tutors): an ID card and a photo of themselves (selfie).
  • Centers and studios: a certificate of registration.
  • If documents are missing or do not match, the team member rejects them with a reason or asks for more information.

What it does not mean

  • It is a check of documents. It does not vouch for how someone teaches or for results.
  • A listing without the badge means the documents have not been checked yet. That provider can list, but cannot receive payouts from Klass.
  • When choosing, read other parents’ reviews and ratings along with the badge.

How reviews work

  • To write a review you must have attended 2 sessions of the class, or 1 trial.
  • You must also have paid through Klass (QPay), or attended a free trial booked through Klass.
  • Learners who paid in cash or outside Klass, and learners imported from a file, cannot write a review.
  • Each learner can leave one review per listing (1–5 stars and text).
  • A review can be edited for 30 days.
  • A review that contains a phone number or a link is not published until a team member has checked it.
  • The reviewer’s full name is never published.

Children’s information and yours

  • Children never log in. Bookings and payments are made from the guardian’s account.
  • A teacher or studio sees only the first name and age of a child who is not enrolled with them.
  • Phone numbers stay hidden until enrollment.

Payments and refunds

  • You pay with QPay. Klass receives the payment in its own QPay account, keeps its commission and pays the provider out every week.
  • An invoice is marked “paid” only after Klass has checked the payment with QPay again.
  • Every payment, commission, refund and payout is recorded in a ledger that cannot be edited.
  • If you cancel a trial or a tutor session at least 12 hours before it starts, the payment is refunded in full. A listing can set its own time, so check the one on the listing page.
  • If you cancel after that time, or a learner misses a tutor session, the session is paid to the provider.
  • If the provider cancels a class, or a tutor does not show up, that session is refunded in full.
  • In other cases a Klass team member, or the provider within its own policy, decides on a full or partial refund.
  • Ending a monthly enrollment takes effect when the paid period ends. The remaining days are not refunded in part.
  • Refunds are made by bank transfer, by hand.
  • Klass does not refund payments made in cash or outside Klass.

If something goes wrong

  • Report a safety, fraud or quality problem to Klass with “Report a problem” on the listing page.
  • A Klass team member reviews it and replies. If needed, a listing or review is hidden and the provider’s access is suspended.
  • In an emergency, call 102.
